As disloyal as he's been to his party, it's not as if they can probably actually claim to HAVE those sixty seats with any seriousness as it is. They might as well boot him.
Instead of stripping his chairmanships, let him keep them. But I get to kick him in his balls every day until the next time an election is held for his seat. I choose the time and place for each kick; they will not be scheduled. I choose how many times. Resigning or changing caucuses won't help him. This is the perfect solution; everybody is happy. I will perform this service for only a modest salary that will allow me to live at my current means in Washington DC.
Thank you Rachel Maddow, for making more sense than anyone in the government.
Lieberman decided to turn his back on this entire fucking country a loooooong time ago and I think it's a huge mistake to keep this piece of shit anywhere near a seat of authority. It's a fucking joke.
It just makes me think that if he stays everyone else is just being fucking complacent. Even the politicians I actually support.
I think the smartest thing to do with Lieberman would be to bring him into the cabinet and get him out of the Senate entirely. Make a new Department of Douchebaggery for the occasion or something. Yes, a Republican gets appointed to replace him but they'll be gone after the next election.
