Hey! I can totally relate to that guy because he has a father -- just like me!
I think that what the filmmaker is saying is that this young man has unresolved issues with his father...
This guy read the Bible than accidentally saw an episode of the Power of Myth and this was the end result.
Cmon, Joseph Campbell isn't bad, he just ignores environmental determinism as a source of religious tradition to the undeserved credit of Jungian developmental theory.
Joseph Campbell is great, he has just been so thoroughly and literally translated into the screenwriting culture of Hollywood that when you get a whiff of him it fucking wreaks to high heaven.
Look, this guy's got to understand that when your dad is Rowsdower there are some sacrifices that you have to make.
OMFG 5 stars for this comment..stuffing those sandwiches into your face
OMFG LOL WTFBBQ
Based on a true story = The director's dad was emotionally distant... And probably went to church regularly.
No. Based on a true story = someone once wrote a letter to their dad.
Worth it just for the comments:
"I wanna see this movie so baaaad."
Scrotum H. Vainglorious
Staring that cop dude from Beverly Hills Cop, Parker Lewis, and Mario VanPeeples!
And now I don't like those actors any more.
Is that bad?
Ahh, fuck it.
Is it irony that christian-themed movies are so gay?
More like poetic justice.
