Fuck this hack. I've always hated him. That goes double for that old fat bitch in the front row tearing up at this crappy song.

Proving that even white guys in blackface can't sing jazz.

It blows me away anyone ever thought this was entertaining, much less a sigh of talent.
It reminds me of an anecdote I once heard or read from Bob Odenkirk where he talked about watching a documentary on Al Jolson where everyone said he was the worst person they had ever known but "BOY HE SURE COULD SING!", and then they'd show him singing the worst shit in the universe.

Think that was commentary on an episode of Mr. Show. I believe the documentary's follow up was, "sure was an asshole, but BOY COULD HE DANCE!"

[cut to footage of worst dancing ever]

RIGHT....yeah. From Monsters of Megaphone. That's all I think of now when I see this old-timey bullshit.

Awful. And whatever you do, don't watch the related video of him singing "Blue Skies". It's wretched.

Neil Diamond, is that you?
TeenerTot - 2008-12-05
I dunno...maybe he wasn't a bad singer--maybe it loses something in the tinny recording?

He's a vaudeville performer you guys, he's not supposed to sound like Nat King Cole.
