i don't get the hate-on for pretz and pocky. price-wise, it's not worth buying it all the time but i've tried tomato pretz and some pocky and they were in fact tasty.

I could get Pocky in China for like thirty cents or some shit, and that was HELL OF worth it to buy all the time because Pocky is just delicious. It's about the only good thing to ever come out of Japan aside from their awesome game shows.
