This is from a documentary called "End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones". It's worth looking into for crazy stories like these and finding out how much they all hated each other.
Great documentary, even if you have only a passing interest in the Ramones.

Johnny's last comment is so true. The Ramones were never destined to be a huge act. They wouldn't have been the same if they were.
I found it funny when I watched this that, after a lot of anecdotes about how annoying and domineering Johnny was (slapping Joey upside the head after gigs, picking fights with Dee Dee by telling him his girlfriend was a pig, so on, so forth), he ended up in this situation with Phil Spector who, if everyone else had been telling the truth, had kinda given Johnny a bit of his own annoying medicine.
Except for that whole pointing guns at people shit. As far as I recall.
