Hooper_X No, the plot point was that it was a Veteran's Day parade, and the enfeebled Greatest Generation were carrying the flag upside down as a sign of distress, because they would be willing to fight back, were they not old and enfeebled.
They were basically calling everyone else pussies and it was vaguely implied that the Rooskies might shoot them for it.
