Pretty sure Jones was doing some weird art project and hired a lot of people, not all of them underage, but one of them was. Then he didn't notify his P.O. of his change of address in '04 or '05. Those are what the charges stem from. The whole pedo thing is blown way out of proportion, he didn't actually fondle or rape any 14 year old boy. I am only sticking up for him because he was great as A.W. Merrick on Deadwood.
And come on, if he really REALLY molested a kid he would be blacklisted from the industry. People have his back and he still gets work for a reason. For fuck's sake he was even on Invader Zim after all that.

He wasn't convicted of molesting a kid, he was convicted of taking naughty pics of a 14 year old boy, and they found the pictures. The content of the pictures is debatable but the fact is the man likes them illegally young, smooth and male.

GoneGirl  Right, 'cause nobody will work with Roman Polanski after he banged that thirteen-year-old. The industry (if not the US government) is remarkably forgiving of sexual peccadilloes. Jeffrey Jones is still a fantastic character actor with his own weird little niche; that's why he gets work, regardless of guilt.
