"Back And Forth" was a pleasantly surprising ending to an amazing series of shows.

Technically, it wasn't a "finale." The show had been off the air for, like, 12-14 years. It was just a one-off goof for the opening of the Millennium Dome. The last episode of Black Adder IV was the real finale. (although rumor has it Atkinson is mulling the possibility of doing another series, and all the original cast are up for it, supposedly)

fluffy Well it's more like people had been asking forever for a Blackadder V and then this ended with "The next Blackadder series will be seen in the year 3000." So they were saying quite specifically that hey, no more Blackadder, seriously.
