Yeah that worries me. Nixon didn't talk in the comic did he? I also don't remember the JFK assassination being part of it either. Though it's been a few years.

He talks, but he doesn't shout "SET THE CLOCK TO TWO MINUTES TO DOOMSDAY" or whatever. He has a few lines like, "Hmmm," and "That's bad." And no, The Comedian isn't shown killing Kennedy. That's only vaguely hinted at in the context of a joke.

I smell stupidification! Entrance to this movie should have been limited to those who have read the comic at least five times and have the beard to prove it!!!

to be fair, it sounds like Kissinger making that two minutes line, but it's still not exactly accurate, so you are still right.

I hadn't until late last year. Can you believe it's the movie that made me do it?

Strangely the thing that gives me the most faith is seeing Nite Owl out of costume, with his dumb haircut.

Yeah, once the rich assholes are done sorting out which of them gets how many millions of dollars if America is unretarded enough to appreciate Watchmen and buy tickets. That's all assuming Snyder doesn't fuck it up.
