Rush Limbaugh is a scatmunch.

That should cheer you up.

First Hulu, now Youtube.

I want to stick my dick in the internet's eye.
boner - 2009-01-31

I think this is the same video, but was uploaded not by CBS, so you can watch it in any country until they pull it.

Thank you. Decent of you.

My stars are for you.

thanks for the pro-canadian link.

KnowFuture - 2009-01-31
needs a "class act" tag.
Camonk - 2009-01-31
See, Bill Hicks is a guy who could swear and offend people and be funny and thoughtful when he did it.

Doug Stanhope is a cancerous (not in the right way), shambling, heartless, hopeless attempt to copy him.

KnowFuture - 2009-02-01
Huh? Oh, that.

OK, I agree with you that you don't think Doug Stanhope is funny.

I'm impressed Letterman takes full responsibility for the original censorship considering it was undoubtedly CBS corporate that did it.
baleen - 2009-01-31

Obviously Letterman is a bastion of liberal ideals and he fights the man every chance he can get. nah, he was worried about ratings and he was offended by it himself, so he figured the rest of country would be too.

StanleyPain - 2009-01-31
Actually, I hate Letterman. My comment had nothing to do with assuming he was some fighter for the common man or whatever. It's just in the books I've read about Hicks I never really got the impression he was the one who axed the bit.

Imagine how great the present would have been if "Let's Hunt and Kill Billy Ray Cyrus" had happened.
Wytze! - 2009-02-01
Oh, c'mon Canadian internet! Why the fuck can't I watch this???
voodoo_pork - 2009-02-01
Why is Denis Leary famous and Bill Hicks anonymous?
mashedtater - 2009-02-01
because there is no cure for cancer

mashedtater - 2009-02-01
so sad! seriously what really needed censored about this?

fatatty - 2009-02-01
Heard pretty much all of it before but Hicks always gets 5.
Caminante Nocturno - 2009-02-01
This guy totally rips of Timothy Leary.

Jeff Fries - 2009-02-01
So does he hate fags or not
KnowFuture - 2009-02-01
Also in the episode with Bill being censored off was supposed to be Harvey Pekar's first Letterman appearance since they switched networks. Harvey went to NYC and got paid to be on there and everything but got bumped because one of the other acts was on for too long. There's an entire issue of American Splendor devoted to it.

"This video is not available in your country or domain"

In that case, my five stars are not available in yours. Get fucked.

When students ask me who my favorite sociologist is, I pretty much immediately reply "Bill Hicks."
Paracelsus - 2009-02-01
Smart man, though some of his most successful bits are sort of stupid.
