5 because all this time I assumed Gorey was British. ...and upon inspection of his wikipedia page, it turns out he was more awesome than I ever had imagined.
he really was a wonderfully interesting man. his artwork can be found in the most unlikely of places from children books to murder mysteries and he worked with a few productions and tv shows.
It was very cool to be gothic before gothic became cool.
