Does anyone have a translation? There are a couple reasons I can think of that would justify this kind of freakout over a missed plane.

Like what? An "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" style race for money? Tardiness alergy? The langoliers are coming? She left one of her children in her luggage?

someone she loved was on his/her deathbed in a far-off country, and she had just one more chance to go and see them. she'd been saving all her money for weeks, starving herself to pay for the journey (the hunger would lead to irritability, ya know), getting evicted from ehr apartment fro delinquent rent.

Then on the way there, her taxi got in an accident which she miraculously survived, so she ran the remaining 35 minutes to the airport, just missing her plane.

depending on where you're going there might be only one flight a day or less, so even if it wasn't THAT dramatic of a story, i could see being really pissed, especially if you were already having a bad day.
