godot Einar played the same role as Fred Schneider in the B-52s or Flavor Flav in Public Enemy: comic relief.
I love the Sugarcubes debut so SO much more than anything Bjork has done since for one simple reason: the band format kept Bjork's tunes humm-ably melodic, rather than her meandering lines with overuse of that growl that dominates her solo work.
Anyway, the Sugarcubes were originally their "party band" side-project. Sometimes I think Bjork's best vehicle was the parent band, Kukl.
Lurchi I love her solo work at least as much. It's like picking a David Bowie album as the "best".
