eatenmyeyes Having listened through to the first audience question (what an insufferable cunt btw). I would conclude that Sharpton(despite being a bit inarticulate) won the debate since Hitchens failed to provide adequate justification for the point in contention.
A while ago my opinion of Sharpton was raised substantially after I read an interview he gave in ANSWER Me!.
He is corrupt, but then, so is Hitchens in his own way.

simon666 This Hitchens, Sharpton debate is decent, but the most recent Hitchens debate against panelists, Rabbi Harold Kushner, Rev. Peter Gomes at the CT Forum is quite good.
What's particularly good is Hitchen's attacks on Kushner about genital mutilation starting around half way through. Hitchens harangue gets good at 6 minutes.

Bort Hitchens is too intellectually dishonest to acknowledge that he's dodging the issue of the existence of God, and I think Sharpton is incapable of conceiving of the absence of God. Nobody wins.
