This is from the excellent documentary series "First Person" helmed by Errol Morris. Morris has a way of getting to the core of what people believe and forcing even the wiliest of them to admit fundamental conundrums in their own way of thinking, even without them knowing it (especially this guy.)
I'd also recommend checking out the cryogenics pioneer who secretly had his mother's head frozen without consent.

Robert Novelly actually tries to argue that Langhan has the same IQ score as Issac Newton and Einstein, apparently by randomly assigning scores to two dead men who never actually took an IQ test.
Langhan, on the other hand, goes on to explain his united theory of everything, which turns out to be not so much a theory as a steady stream of total nonsequitor bullshit.
I don't think Langhan's problem is differing class values. I think Langhan's problem is that he's a moron, as every aspect of his real life suggests.

Malcolm Gladwell has a whole chapter on this guy in "Outliers," examining how a guy with such a high IQ could have failed completely to make his mark on the world. It's a complex argument based on differing class values. Gladwell compares him extensively with Robert Oppenheimer.
He's no longer a bouncer. He has a horse farm and is working on some kind of grand unifying theory of existence.
