And the sad thing is, this isn't a fan fic. It's from the Mythologies collection, a collection of short stories and origin sort of things painted by Alex Ross. Beautiful and amazing paintings done in the style of "Kingdom Come". Basically, yeah, the story's weak but it doesn't matter in it's original context because that's as part of a beautiful piece of art, but like this... Yeah, evil is deserved.
OK, I have to go nerd somewhere else now.
