A guy in my study group is on that train. I wondered why they didn't at least synchronize which song to listen to --- this idea probably looked a lot less lame in the deviser's mind. It's basically just off-balance white people breathing heavy and trying to be just Canadian enough to not unduly invade anyone's space.
Also, "St. Patrick" is the first station after Union, which means they're holding up all the commuters, which is kind of admirable.
