I never had this cartoon to experience as a kid. I'm glad I can still relive bad 80's cartoons.
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-03-09
I did, for a brief wonderful period, and then my mother caught me lip synching the lyrics to the theme song and then sadly, no Jem for me anymore.

Jeez, my mom bought me homecoming queen Barbie and Ken with the red convertible because the stuck up kids next door wouldn't let me play with theirs.

THAT SURE SHOWED THEM. (But now I'm a homo. Thanks mom!)

Oh my god, they have motorcycles in the shape of guitars.

That's just...

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-03-09
Also the Misfits would have totally won that contest because they would have totally banged the producers from Hollywood. Let's see Jem and her Holograms compete with oh wait this isn't real life.

PS I bet your convertible rocked

I watched this as a boy until one day when my father told me it was a girl's show, to which I told him "No it's not." I never watched the show again. I was 5.

this was supposed to be a multi-part submission but it wasn't working.... if you follow the link you can watch the rest of the episode. the best part is at the beginning of part two where you realize
all of their clothes are holograms. :)

I will not allow you to ruin my father's company by promoting this trash! Instead, we should be promoting soulless computer generated music mimed by a band that aren't even playing their instruments!

Aww yeah! I loved and still do love to some degree this show. I actually have all the music from these in record form. I occasionally bust out the record player and listen to 'em from time to time.

I liked the other intro to this show. I used to have some of the dolls from this show and they came with little cassette tapes with songs. I still have a naked and beat up Jem doll somewhere.
Five for the nostalgia of this show, though.

Yes. I agree. The other theme song is truly outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2009-03-09
Yeah, of the two, this was the better intro:

I think this "Jem Girl" version was adapted from the commercials they were using to promote the merchandising on TV.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go re-watch the "M.A.S.S. Device" G.I. Joe miniseries to restore my heterosexuality.

Not as good as the later themesong.
Testicles of Doom - 2009-03-15
Some sadist at the network put this between GI Joe and Transformers, and since all of us kids in the neigborhood were too lazy to change the channel, we watched this shit everyday.
Deplorable - 2009-04-24
Never saw this show. Probably a good thing; I would've loved the shit out of it as a kid, to my detriment.

4 + 1 star for "Making people nervous is my specialty".
