Cosmic Slop live (there are 6 findable versions on the intertubes, afaik) is always better than the studio version. It's one of the singular compositions of the last 40 years.

That said (having watched), this is a one of the poorer versions. Anything from the 77-78 tours is better. Faster tempo, better, more thorough solo.

I think giving bass duties to Bernie Worrell's left hand turned this from genre exercise to classic.

I could post about 3 versions of this musically superior to this one.

This song was in my mix for the one radio station in GTA3 for the PC that lets you have your own .mp3s on one of the radio stations...made for some damn good drivin' around Liberty City experiences, it did.
