I stayed up late on evening to watch this movie on HBO, for I was and am a Cthulhu Mythos fan. It was almost good.

Electric Wizard! I think Dopethrone is their best work.

It still kills me that I couldn't afford the to get that on vinyl, because 6 months later it was unavailable at any price.

I still prefer Sleep for my stoner metal.

I'm just really impressed by the shots at 2:10 through 2:20. More sinister than psychedelic colors.

Holy fucking unbelievable. Is the actual film half as good as this? I want to go listen to Rebreather now.

If you're looking for a GOOD Lovecraft adaptation, this isn't so much for you (you might check out Dan O'Bannon's The Resurrected, though, which is a fairly decent treatment of The Case of Charles Dexter Ward). If you're looking for late sixties/early seventies-ish hippiesploitation cheese, you have found a winner of a title.
