Space Helicopter Passive-agressive and with a translator to top it off! No wonder we're winning.

simon666 Raise your hand if you have militia ties? Bullshit. Some of you in this formation are fucking lying right now... You think this is funny? You want to call me out?
This is fucking hilarious. I don't see you in my fucking home town?
So many choice quotes.

allcaps This poor fucker no doubt got put down in the middle of a city with a dozen dudes and a stack of cash, and told to make things better. A month later the sewers aren't working, the booksellers and barbers are being shot, the schools sit empty, he gave the money to hucksters, a half dozen puppet councils full of tribal sheiks are lying to him, he's shitting in a bag, can't put his head out of his basement because of the mortars, and every other day he's got to get a convoy up to trundle out over exploding goats to find something to call an airstrike in on, because there's a quota on "terrorists." So he's at his desk, trying to summon the strength to write another letter to grieving parents about how their boy died for freedom or some shit, and the radio crackles up, "Hey Captain, guess what? You're training police now."
This, ultimately, is why I never joined the military. This dude is doing better than I ever could. I'd've opened fire first.

allcaps Hey, don't get me wrong. It would've been better if he had never been there in the first place. But failing that, second best would have been if Bush and the Pentagon had listened to what their own military experts were saying, and applied the right resources to the job. Accounts of crackups like this are not just common, but the rule. We sent in a tiny number of people to do shit they weren't trained to do in a place they didn't understand, and everywhere they made things worse. This guy is clearly out of his depth and on the verge of some serious trauma. He may have done far worse things than this in the end. I'm just saying, have a little understanding. "Male chauvinism" (I assume you're referring to the name-calling) is about the least thing to get mad at with this video.
You are right about the white man's burden bit though. You used to find Europeans going off like this all the time, although obviously with a touch more dignity.

zatojones Arabs are very sensitive about their sense of masculinity. Calling them women was probably a calculated move on the part of the soldier.

baleen
You don't see any women in my hometown, do you?!

glendower It must be weird hearing that kind of diatribe through a lackluster translator.

Senator_Unger So, why does he think that people from a society that breaks down upon tribal and religious lines will go off to die for a country whose borders were haphazardly drawn by the British eighty years ago when they finally realized they had had their fill of this crappy desert?

heyitslozeau im so ashamed to be represented by this asshole.
