This is kind of like one of those Russian films where something terrible happens and then there's like thirty seconds of nothing happening so the audience can reflect. I kind of wish the escalator was next to a pond, so the camera could have panned over to the cool reflective surface while I contemplated the inevitability of old age.
Still, five for graceful tragedies!
By the time I'm that old, I'll probably be falling off of space elevators.
