I want to see a Hayao Miyazaki movie with these in it.

No "what hell sounds like" tag?
I actually have that tag listed already. It shows up on the edit form but not on this page! Weird.
You can only have five tags.

Some of the more 'musical' ones are dead-on for tropical bird calls, as they'd sound filtered through a forest...which is probably the intent. The others are just plain creepy and awesome.
The too had a utility, as they were used to communicate with the aliens who walked among them in times ancient.

Music is the reflection of the culture that created it.
In other words, this all sounds incredibly Aztec.

The Aztecs go WOOO WOOOOO

How would you like to wake up to one of these and know a human sacrifice was just about to happen?
Bone_Vulture - 2009-03-25
Ah, the Aztecs. Definitely my favorite ancient civilization, save for the crazy human sacrifice-based economy.
No. tlachtli was the best part.
YOU LOSE YOU DIE
Also hot cocoa.
Also their balls were apparently huge.

I feel a strong need to own about five of the "noise of something that just escaped hell" whistles. I would go on walks, late at night...
gorch - 2009-03-25
If I heard the noises from 1:09 or 1:38 while walking alone on a dark night, I would crap my pants just like Uncle Oscar. "Oh, nein!"

screw you gamara II for scarring my soul, take your fucking stars and leave!

Maybe they sound scary cuz the asshole doesn't know how to play them. Give me a trumpet and I'll show you what hell sounds like.
Pillager - 2011-05-22
Where'd they find a velociraptor to castrate?
Old People - 2014-03-26
What a sad, evil, morbid society they had. Wretched monsters, eventually crushed by a stronger empire of other greedy, blood-obsessed fanatics.
