I think one thing about Buster Keaton that a lot of people overlook is that if he ever put his talents to the cause of evil absolutely nothing could have stopped him.

(This was actually part of Houdini's act - he would escape from jail cells, prisons, etc. and top it off with "You guys had better be glad I'm a good man, because I'd be the mightiest criminal the world has ever seen.")

Every God damned Looney Tunes animated gag was nothing more than a copy of a real trick he once did. Buster Keaton invented everything. I watch something released in the last year and I never once think, "How did they do that?" When I see this - every three seconds, "How the fuck did they manage to do that?" I know some tricks were involved, but fuck if I can see them.
