It would be nice if Kate Hepburn was like WHAT THE FUCK WHERE'S MY MONEY. But no.

Xenocide - 2009-04-03

Needs White People tag.

One of my favorite sequences in a Scorsese film. So much is going on and so many people need punching.

Modern Angel - 2009-04-03

I come from hearty New England stock who act pretty much exactly like this.

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2009-04-03

This scene rings sort of false when you realize that Howard Hughes didn't exactly pull himself up by his bootstraps; he was born into the Hughes Tool Company fortune and went on to make a mountain of money after that. He gets to play self-made man here because his fortune came from Texas, not Connecticut, and in George Bush's America, that seemed to make all the difference. Oh, those liberal elites!

I liked the movie, and it was well done, but Tales of Heroic Capitalism, which was what this boiled down to, leave me sort of cold. And I'm not even a raving socialist or anything, so don't start.
