Don't be fooled... compared with a lot of English teachers in Japan, she's actually pretty good. She has charisma and her students don't hate her. Her English is certainly top percentile, as weird as that sounds. A great number of English teachers over there can barely make themselves understood.
Speaking as someone in allcaps situation, he is depressingly right.
And the more I hear about the Japanese school system, the more surprised I am that the token gaijin-sensei doesn't get an utterly stereotyped role of speaking really broken Japanese.
I love Azumanga Daioh, even though it contains many of the aspects I hate about anime (excessive cuteness, school drama WHY AREN*T THEY FIGHTING!? etc.).
