No, I think he's implying that the word "shoutout" sounds stupid on its own, and they're a waste of time that could be better spent plugging a product or getting a point of some kind across. If you do a "shoutout", you're just some jackass that acts like you've never been in front of a camera before, like people who interrupt the news.

I think he actually handled this one pretty well. It's hard to suffer fools, even if they are eleven.
