I watched this despite not having seen season 3 yet. But you know Dan doesn't get to throw down that much during the show. Up until 3:29, I'd been thinking two things. First, I expected Dan to do better. Second, that this wasn't as good as when Al and Bullock threw down at the beginning of season 2.
This is a really great example of why we don't necessarily need to resort to the "bombastic overstimulation" school of fight scene choreography. There was something very raw about this scene, as unglorified as its circumstances. Loved it.
I just realized that Bullock's partner and Kenny Powers' brother are the same guy, which suggests that he has an obscure HBO contract clause that requires a minor antagonist loses an eye during the series.
