This cartoon really glosses over a lot of the racial tension between GI Joe and Hashimoto Mouse. Hashimoto is still angry about the famine that killed his first wife.

I remember watching this on one of those little projector books for kids they had at Shakey's Pizza. I actually think this presentation of the Japanese is actually pretty respectful and seems to honestly be an example of good-faith cultural reconstruction. I like this a lot.
