Way to go, Toledo, way to justify your top spot on those violent crimes list.

Charles S. Dutton, nooooooooooo!
Redlof - 2009-05-20
I hate this city. They don't want to pay the cops any money, and then they act surprised when the only people who want to be cops are nut jobs and idiots.

Hmm What's Chicago's excuse?

socialist_hentai - 2009-05-20
no black people tag?
simon666 - 2009-05-20
The "black people" is not for videos with black people in them, it is for videos where black people are acting stereotypical, just as the "white people" tag is for trailer trash, bad dancing, etc.

Also, the only good thing to come out of Toledo is fictional character Maxwell Clinger from the 4077 MASH unit.

Unbelievable.
voodoo_pork - 2009-05-20
Completely believable.

simon666 - 2009-05-20
1/2 parts believable, unbelievable.

chumbucket - 2009-05-20
holy toledo..no comment from police chief, of course
Enjoy - 2009-05-20
No worries. I'm sure the police union will make a statement about how the video doesn't tell the whole story.

Do all the police-men living in Toledo
know that their name hasn't traveled very weee-eee-ee-el..?

Excessive use of force, but the kid was obviously not compliant. This doesn't bother me as much as some other police brutality videos.
Squidmojo - 2009-05-20
We have both watched the same video, and I saw no evidence of the kid being "obviously not compliant." What the hell are you talking about?

I saw a bloody-faced kid in a chokehold pass out.

fermun - 2009-05-20
After they choked him to unconsciousness he continued to passively resist arrest. The officers had to physically carry him to the car.

wtf japan - 2009-05-20
If he had been compliant, they would not have implemented a choke-hold. A choke-hold takes a while to execute and therefore probably isn't the abuse of choice for most pigs. If they're going to abuse someone who is already compliant, they are going to beat the shit out of him with bobby sticks (in the case of the individual who has done nothing wrong and questions the officer(s)) or they are going to get something (kick to the head, gunshot, etc) in quick in the hopes that the confusion will conceal the act (as in the case of the individual who has just done something wrong but is now compliant).

Again, force was excessive, but I feel like that kid decided to test some boundaries that day. Probably better for him in the long run.

Redlof - 2009-05-20
If you ever see someone in a choke hold, they must have done something to deserve it. It's a matter of scientific fact!

Dinkin Flicka - 2009-05-20
Fuck....I thought this was an Onion video the whole way through. Long time waiting for a punchline
memedumpster - 2009-05-20
I have friends who are police officers and I am hit with a deep dread sometimes when I interact with them because of videos like this. For some reason, the soldiers I know bother me less even though I know they've actually killed people.
