It's not lame at all. It's legitimate training for sky shows and it makes you feel like superman. I di9d this at the LOG music festival (I know, just shut up) when I was 14 or so and it was awesome.
And these maneuvers are exceptionally difficult, this is goddamn impressive

You hit a spring-loaded metal mesh. Some friends and I did this last chrismas and it was great. You will not be as graceful as these guys though.
