I have Neon and it does the same. Ive taken it to a mechanic first time it happened, nothing wrong.

Some cars you breathe on and the damn check engine light comes on.

Yeah, electronics reliability in a neon seems like a fair comparison to the same in a $50,000 sports car. Not to get all gooey over audi since they've started kind of sucking in the last few years (fuck you, VW), but generally in cars like this the "check engine" light actually means something.
