On a list of the 100 countries with the largest Muslim populations, USA clocks in at #58, ahead of Lebanon, Kuwait, Israel, Qatar, Bahrain, Brunei, etc. Yeah, I agree, not one of the largest, but certainly not insignificant.

Of course, in the broader context of his previous remarks, I can see what he meant...

I'm not saying there was anything horrible about Obama's comments. Not in the "owe knoes he's anti Christian!" perspective of the religious right. I'm just stating it was an inaccurate statement, and that the media just lets it go because he's a liberal.

Or because most of the mainstream media hasn't ever been very good about factchecking or presenting anything other than the most superficial homogenous view of the "news".
