I really hate flashmobs and people who join them.
Aw c'mon. What exactly is objectionable about this? A bunch of young people having fun in public? Stopping some yuppies from shopping for sixty seconds?
This needs an "oh grandpa" tag for the poetv comments.
they are helping the economy by buying up all those unfashionable gold lamé pants, you cad

LOOK AT US CHALLENGING YOUR PERCEPTIONS OF WHAT A STORE IS. AREN'T WE SO PRECIOUS?
Blegh. Five stars so other poeTVers can be annoyed by this.
|Scrotum H. Vainglorious |
Get out of my store you damn kids!
Normally an MC Hammer theme for a flashmob would be pretty lame... but it's obvious how much time they spent rehearsing the dance moves in advance and getting their timing somewhat synchronized.
5 stars for execution.
I 5-starring this in hope this will become so frequent that one day, we'll be 5-starring brutal cops hammering on the phenomena.
I don't get the hate... this video was made of awesome and gave me a really big happy face.
This seems fake to me, by the camera angles and the loudness of the music. I wouldn't doubt the store was in on this.
That fact that someone in the store was in on it, doesn't make it fake.
Unfortunately, from the uploader this does appear to be a "viral" ad for an A&E promoting a reality show about MC Hammers family life. In other words, another bleating gas emission from the rotting corpse of television.
Still, stars because it made me smile, and I can think of worse ways to advertise.
This is some kind of viral for an A&E show called HammerTime, which is a reality TV show featuring MC Hammer's family and business dealings.
So yes, the store is probably in on it. If the music bieng piped through the PA system didn't tip you off.
If the store was in on it, and they filmed it and portrayed it as a spontaneous event, that would make it fake. If the producers intended to convey a sense of spontaneity when it was planned, it is fake.
Viral done entertainingly.
I'm still not going to watch a show about MC Hammer.
If we are aware of it being a viral than it isn't a viral. Any pleasure gained is immediately replaced by rage and a passing anxiety that everything worth loving in our culture is dying.
Oh, c'mon. Tell us how you really feel, baleen.
...Baleen takes a drag from his thin black cigarette, adjusts his beret. "Ahh....the ennui."
I love you baleen.
They are quite the coordinated dancers for being a flash mob.....
Probably a viral ad for the store, but it was funny.
Anyone who hates this is a snaggletoothed faggot who should fucking kill themself.
|Goethe and ernie |
All ready to give this one star for looking like some American Apparel irony bullshit, but that bit where all of them burst through the door made me smile like an idiot. So five for that. I still hate you fucking ironists though.
Goethe and ernie
And as for everyone bleating "WHY DO PEOPLE HATE THIS?", fuck off back to your copies of Vice magazine and your dayglo hi-tops, LITERALLY fuck off
Lighten up, faggots.
It's not dead, but the owner went and made the video private.
