By 1968 Hammer had pretty much lost its touch, but at least they weren't afraid to make movies where giant testicles go on rampages.

Did I see not one but two actors from "The Deadly Bees?" 5 motherfucking stars and another name on my list of movies to MST.

This is an excellent and strange movie.

An odd mishmash of a film based on a Wheatley novel (not a horror novel but written in the vein of William Hope Hodgson's weird sea tales) not entirely successful really but I had to see it in my quest to see and read everything remotely connected to the works of that crazy, jingoistic, occult obsessed weirdo Wheatley who wrote some seriously great and some seriously lame novels.
Not as successful an adaption as the earlier Hammer film version of "The Devil Rides Out".

The number of people being thrown into waters infested with man-eating weeds always struck me as rude.
