This will be less funny when I've sobered up.
Oh, and North York. I feel for you. In one of the nice bits? Because where North York is shitty it's shitty.
Yeah, it's pretty nice, but boring and isolated. I live right off York Campus, in one of the new subdivisions that the university sold off. At least the TTC is right out my front door, there is absolutely NOTHING here in terms of entertainement and nightlife.
I was closer to Jane and Finch before, which is not even marginally as horrible as people seem to think it is.
I keep an emergency supply of Vodka, wine and mix.
Any good bars to recommend in York? I'm new to the neighborhood, and all.
I usually just go downtown if I'm going to go to a bar - usually either the Imperial across from Dundas Square, or Bistro 422, right across the street from Sneaky Dee's on College and Bathurst.
There's a pseudo-Irish chain pub called The Fox and Fiddle, just east of Keele and Finch - they have special events in the basement, live music, etc. throughout the week.
From September through May, the bars on York University campus are good - particularly the Absinthe - but they all close down or shorten their hours for the summer.
If you head up towards Vaughan / Woodbridge, there's another Irish place called the Dublinn Gate, just off of Jane / HWY 7, where the AMC theatre is. There's also LUXY in the same complex, if you're into the whole Woodbridge Guido nightclub scene, and a Dave & Busters' there as well, if you feel like paying too much for beer and video games.

Pretty much all their videos are awesome and many are better than this one.

Don't you understand? That IS the history of Cinco De Mayo.
