JESUS...I know it says no unarmed people were shot, but it sure looks like some of those dudes were just driving by when they got lit up.
Enjoy - 2009-06-24
Cars can be deadly weapons

SolRo - 2009-06-24
They clearly had 2 arms each...why do you hate america?

Meerkat - 2009-06-24
Yes, using Microsoft Movie Maker to put "No unarmed people were shot" at the end makes it true.

Big Beef Burritos Supreme - 2009-06-24
"Woo! I killed him! I Killed him! That guy by the car!"

memedumpster - 2009-06-24
-1 star for not making this one of those newfangled side by side videos with kids playing Halo 3.
Stog - 2009-06-24
In the new America's Army 3.5 patch, they're actually going to let you control actual soldiers inside a real battlefield!

memedumpster - 2009-06-24
SexyEndrs42069's Game.

IrishWhiskey - 2009-06-25
In all seriousness, my suggestion is that all new recruits are made to play a Halo 3 tournament. Only those who never use the words "bitch", "fag" and "pwnd" are allowed into the army as anything other than cannon fodder.

I know good and responsible people who serve. I wish I could say I didn't know people like this too.

There are a lot of decent, brave, reasonably intelligent people in the military.

There are a lot of heavily armed fuckwits too.
The Faghorn - 2009-06-25
Prove the first part of that, stooge.

Charles - 2009-11-19
Faghorn, of course there are intelligent people in the military. Not everyone joins up so they can kill people.

Camonk - 2009-06-24
Dear US troops, please use YouTube for hilarious videos where sheep are insurgents, laundromats are buildings you have to take, and mops are guns.

Please stop making videos where you kill people because you are bored, stunted, violent criminals.
simon666 - 2009-06-25

I think one has to take the good with the bitter, and warring is a part of the modern structure of society, still. I think it's better to hate on/attempt to restructure the ways people justify warring than to hate the people put in the position to fight.

This may not be your position, but your comment instigated this fro me.

Species - 2009-06-25
Are you kidding me? These guys are in hog heaven. Rednecks with hardons for destruction. Thank military boot camp for making them "better" soldiers.

Charles - 2009-11-19
Yeah, I have to agree on both sides here, because 1. Simon's right, it's better to work constructively to change society than to bitch about how everyone who ever fights wars ever is an immoral criminal prick. 2. Species and Camonk are right because these particular fuckwads who are the most vocal in this video are having waaay too much fun with killing, and exploiting death on video.

There are lots of respectful people in the military, and then there are a lot of people who still call Iraqi and Afghani people "towelheads". Just as an example.

Cleaner82 - 2009-06-24
Yeah dude, totally dude, well, they should all be executed dude. Hung, if possible. Dude.
RockBolt - 2009-06-24
Wow, how could they tell that guy driving the car was armed
Triggerbaby - 2009-06-24
They couldn't. It was a happy coincidence!

mantang0 - 2009-06-24
if there's any positive message to take from this video it's that 15% of the voices are now horribly injured and 5% are dead
just sayin'
phalsebob - 2009-06-24
I couldn't tell if they killed a guy or not. Did they just shoot up a neighbourhood for lulz? Am I missing something?
Syd Midnight - 2009-06-25
"A sniper's bullet hit right where you're standing" suggests that at least one person was shooting at them.

IrishWhiskey - 2009-06-25
Unfortunately "who pulled up in that white car?" seems to suggest they weren't that concerned with who dunnit.

phalsebob - 2009-06-25
Ah. I couldn't watch that again. Still evil though.

Syd Midnight - 2009-06-27
We probably should not be using Marines as occupation forces, because when someone shoots at Marines their instinct is to kill everything within 500 yards that isn't a Marine. I've heard Iraq vets complain about that.

Chancho - 2009-06-24
This video is ancient but still pretty amazing. Up there with the Blackwater rooftop snipers. Watching these back to back with jihadi videos is interesting for comparison.
Jet Bin Fever - 2009-06-25
horrifying. This kind of behavior is truly evil.
andyweak - 2009-06-25
Something very disturbing about hearing people talk about killing people like that. Boys being boys to the worst extent...The reaction after the shooting reminds me of high school seniors beating up freshmen kids at a party they weren't invited to.
spikestoyiu - 2009-06-25
By "freshmen kids" do you actually mean you?

zatojones - 2009-06-25
brutal shit happens in a firefight. Gommorrah is SHOCKED AND OUTRAGED
Gommorrah - 2009-06-25
civilians murdered by racist sociopaths. zatojones is SARDONICALLY DISMISSIVE.

zatojones - 2009-06-25
how do you know they were civilians? how do you know the marines killed them because they're racists, sociopaths or both?

Charles - 2009-11-19
Try listening to the psychos in the video, and maybe that will answer your question

revdrew - 2009-06-25
Hearts and minds.
chumbucket - 2009-06-25
Well I guess if I spent months riding in a HMMV wondering when it was going to get IED'd, I'd get a little stir crazy too.
Baron_Von_Bad_Beaver - 2009-09-04
I'm giving this clip five stars because this is what an average firefight looks like in Iraq: a bunch of scared kids between the ages of 18 and 24 unloading everything they have against an enemy they can't quite see. I'm not sure who shot up the civilian in the white car, but it was fucking unsat.
When I was stationed in Rutbah in April through October 2008 I was shot at a couple times, while on patrol usually, and we had no PIDs or POOs (positive ID or Point Of Origin), so we never returned fire. The only time I saw who was pointing a gun at me was when an Army dude in a convoy leveled a .50 cal in my direction unintentionally. I shot at a car once because it tried to break into our TCP (Traffic Control Point) and only then after ignoring our EOFs (Escalation Of Force). Marines, at least us Reservists, are usually pretty responsible in our applications of violence. And I don't it's fair to judge what happened in this video with no real explanation at the beginning, why they shot at those cars and who why they put down such a massive wall of ass and hate in that general direction. Who knows?

I'm just saying.
j lzrd / swift idiot - 2009-09-08
Well war is hell, and hate the sin not the sinner, but damned if I can't help it but despise these men.

We live in a country with an all-volunteer army.

Yet we live in a country with enough misguided people to form a standing army, navy, airforce, coast guard, national guard, reserves, and so on and so forth.

And what it all ends up leading back to is a proper sense of ethics. Which isn't what I'm seeing here.

What a world. I'm going to go listen to some Louis Armstrong, fuck you guys.
Mister Yuck - 2009-10-21
You think you'd do better? These are just people, we're all just people. People are terrible and you wouldn't do better.

CharlesSmith - 2010-10-12
War apologists need to make up their minds. Either there are good soldiers too, or all people are this wicked and we just don't know it yet because we're not soldiers. These are mutually exclusive. You have to pick one.
