Summary;

-raegan responsible for all good things until bad things happened.
-tax cuts create jobs, even if businesses cannot get loans to pay employees, nor have customers.
-the poor CEOs are too sad to hire people.
-tax cuts = directly giving a starving poor person a job.

I need a knife. A dull, rusty, serrated knife.

Elizabeth knows what she's talking about, ask any poor person on the street - they demand tax cuts for corporations.

This is nearly indistinguishable from The Onion News Network.
Toenails - 2009-07-12
Man fuck that Quinton, he's a fucking dick.

"Feed the poor, feed the poor, feed the poor!" Man, does that guy ever get off-message???

Couldn't he just shut up and listen to some of the reasonable insights in this panel?

A CORPORATE TAX CUT WILL HELP THE POOR!!!!
THA SUGAH RAIN - 2009-07-12
ARE THERE NO PRISONS? FREE FOOD IN JAIL, YOU GOVERNMENT TEET SUCKING SLACKERS!
TeenerTot - 2009-07-12
Corporate tax cuts will make jobs for the poor! Then they'll have something to eat in a few months.
IrishWhiskey - 2009-07-12
Q: The stimulus was half tax cuts, but the GOP says it hasn't created any jobs? How can that be?

A: Those tax cuts went to poor and middle income people. And the only real way to help those people, is to give money to CEOs.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2009-07-12
youre grossly mishandling the facts. 1. The stimulus did not include a corporate income tax cut. The stimulus included a one time equipment depreciation and one time loss-relief credit. 2. No one is saying anything about giving money to CEOs, they are arguing to lower the maximum tax rate at which a company's income can be taxed.

IrishWhiskey - 2009-07-12
The first one was exactly my point, not something I was contradicting. They herald the benefits of tax cuts for corporate income, and ignore or marginalize the benefits of tax cuts for those making under 0,000. The second one is an issue of characterization, as the difference between saying a policy results in giving money to CEOs, as opposed to lowering their corporate tax rate, seems nitpicky to me. Certainly neither is "grossly mishandling the facts".

Oh sweet. A new conservative to slowly eviscerate over the course of a year.

News flash from a small business owner: Tax cuts, especially those for the wealthy, do not create jobs.

Let me say it again: Tax cuts, especially those for the wealthy, do not create jobs.

What creates jobs? Demand for a product or service great enough that the business offering it needs more people. Giving the top 1% a few more bucks isn't going to accomplish that, it doesn't trickle down, and they don't buy enough stuff to increase demand significantly.

Toenails - 2009-07-13
What the hell is wrong with you THE SUGAH RAIN??? I know you your just trying to give your to cents but you're certainly out of your league here!

1. Nobody care whether or not the stimulus contains a tax cut. We are fucking watching a CSPAN episode where the fucking tax cut gets passed!!!

2. The fucking retards may not be saying that they'll give CEOs money directly. But we are making fun of them for saying that goddamn tax cuts for corporations will alleviate the struggles of the poor. That's all. You don't need to be a troll about it!!

Oh, and apologizes about Tuan Jim for saying fuck you, he says that to everybody. But, that's no reason to be a Cean_Mark about everything!!!

"WOAH WOAH WOAH Ronald Reagan? Don't mention him, he's one of us! Bill Clinton said it too! Only point out that HE said it!"
socialist_hentai - 2009-07-12
What i never understand about about these fox news talking heads is: are they actually saying the government should not spend money or get involved in anything on the home front? From what i usually gather they want the the government to be just the military, used to fuck with other countries and that's all. Why the fuck dose the state take in tax? I mean you want low taxes, you don't want free health care, you don't want the state to give you anything or to give anything to the state... then why the fuck have a state in the first place?
CharlesSmith - 2009-07-12
The purpose of the state is to keep homosexual marriage outlawed.

Hooper_X - 2009-07-13
The entire purpose of the state is to protect the citizenry from terrorists, mexicans, and faggots gettin' married.

Everything else should be decided on by you and your panoply of guns.

longwinded - 2009-07-12
How many fucking people are on this show??
Hooker - 2009-07-12
Seriously, the rapid-fire cutting between talking heads is aggrivating as hell.

It would have been nice if someone had turned it around and asked if banks and corporations want Corporate Welfare, and why they shouldn't get bailouts because it only encourages dependency.

This biggest fallacy is "doesn't want to be on assistance" = "doesn't want assistance". That's the lowest most bullshit lie they say with a straight face. Someone who doesn't want to be hanging off a parachute is probably still very grateful for the parachute they are hanging off of.

Does that mean banks and corporations don't want the bailout because they'd rather have profits? So lets give their bailout to the poor and let it trickle up in retail and debt payment.
mashedtater - 2009-07-15
was anyone else turned off by the way they said "the poor?"

good, elizabeth said it like i would say "filthy sewer rats covered in sars."

mashedtater - 2009-07-15
that wasnt meant to be a reply but i would like to state i agree with you on the "it creates dependency" bullshit.

not having jobs that are decent enough to give living wages is causing dependency.

glendower - 2009-07-13
Gotta love the Republican panacea of tax cuts. Just cut taxes and everything will be ok!! I guess that lady didn't read the report that came out last year showing that most corporations pay no income taxes.
teethsalad - 2009-07-13
these fucks would be wise to remember the bastille
