They replaced Dio with Tim Curry as the villain in Brutal Legend because their villain came out more like this role than Dio-like.

Great movie. Great role, and some of the best damn make-up ever. He's practically unrecognizable.

Also, this clip is from the so-called "director's cut" which is really worth seeing if you haven't yet. The editing is just slightly different and the original musical score is way better than the Tangerine Dream one, which is saying a lot since I really dug the TD soundtrack.

Y'know if someday some awesome campy rockin British actor like Tim Curry or David Bowie shows up magically wizardlike and says he will possess my soul if only I but fear him.. I'm gonna just roll with it and start bowing and scraping. There's worse ways to go.
