They replaced Dio with Tim Curry as the villain in Brutal Legend because their villain came out more like this role than Dio-like.

Great movie. Great role, and some of the best damn make-up ever. He's practically unrecognizable.

Also, this clip is from the so-called "director's cut" which is really worth seeing if you haven't yet. The editing is just slightly different and the original musical score is way better than the Tangerine Dream one, which is saying a lot since I really dug the TD soundtrack.

I adore this movie. Director's cut was better, I thought. Darker, better ending.

The only bit I missed from the theatrical cut was the music during the waltz scene when she was turned into Dark Lilly. The Tangerine Dream score was better for that.
