«Dying in a corn field is possibly the worst way to go.»
Dying AS a corn field would be worse.
I think the "beaten to death with bats" part is a lot worse than the "corn field" aspect.
You know, I had my problems with Casino, like how there seemed to be 80 hours of footage of money being counted with Pesci or DeNiro narrating on how much money they were making but I have to give this scene five stars. That's just the way it is and AHHHHHHHHHH
A guy in this movie gets his head clamped in a vice, I can't remember if it kills him, but it makes me think of the Three Stooges, nyuk nyuk nyuk.
This is truly repulsive
I actually saw this movie for the first time three nights ago. Weird synchronicity.
This movie is weirdly lurid for a Scorsese film. It's almost like pulp fiction true crime. The whole thing just lingers on the worst parts of the story a little too long.

My friend Tim played a drummer in this.
I went to see this when it was originally in theaters and a handful of people actually walked out during this scene. I can only assume they knew nothing about what the movie was about or Scorsese or pretty much anything about film.
They did it in such a way as to suggest they were offended by the violence, which I thought was humorous since they had no problem getting to this point presumably.
With Goodfellas, people start to walk out after about 90 seconds into the movie.

I think Scorsese liked Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, this is apparently his homage

I liked Don Rickles in this movie. I was surprised he was still alive.
I'm surprised he's STILL still alive, as of July 21, 2009.
Don Rickles still kicking it.
Plan B failed. Don Rickles still draws breath.
I'm afraid Plan C's time has come.
i'm a big mob movie fan-this was the best and worst seen at the same time.
