Redneck selling power!
editing genius with the Shakespeare to Ernest transition
I second that motion.

Hay Belly
You mean career genius.

Varney's, that is.

Jim Varney was a genius, and not nearly as well appreciated as he should be.

Yes, I remember being a kid and remembering that he was going into Shakespeare. I felt so sorry for him when he was laughed off the stage.

You sure seem fond of nerds!

i really liked jim varney.
his saturday morning live show was great.
his coffee table book is hilarious.

dr. otto and the riddle of the gloom beam is pretty okay.
Hegemony Cricket
This reminds me of Eric Idle's reading of MacTeagle's poem, "Can I have fifty pounds to mend the shed."

Five stars for "Redneck Selling Power".
Rum Revenge
I always wondered why my local car dealership had a character from a major (I assumed) motion picture shilling for them. I mean, it's not like Happy Gilmore or that guy from Caddyshack did the same thing.
i rented a tape of all of Ernest's adverts when i was young. all of those old ads are hilarious.
Louis Armstrong
I know what you mean Jim.
