Meh... not so much...

A man got pulled into a blender and turned into sausages. How can that ever be "Meh"?

Everything I hoped a Gahan Wilson cartoon would be

This cartoon was darker than I expected but that's definitely Gahan Wilson.

I had Gahan Wilson for my Storyboard class in college, he showed us the rough cut of this in class. The deal was Ted Turner wanted to bring back shorts before movies, R-rated shorts at that. About 2 years later I ended up working for Ralph Bakshi on another short for the same project. Sadly, the project fell through, in the end they ended up on Cartoon Network as throw away shorts for their 'What A Cartoon' series. The Bakshi ones I worked on only aired once, this might have aired twice. If I wasn't dating a girl who was best buds with CN's programming director I would have never seen them, it's good to see it again. +5 and fave.

Gahan Wilson is the BEST. I haven't seen anything from him in recent years, though -- what's he up to?

fatatty - 2009-07-24
You got to work for Bakshi? Well now I have to hate you.

I have to agree with fatatty, you lucky, presumably talented bastard.

Repo- I know he's still drawing for the New Yorker, and there was a new book (The Cleft) in the early 2000s, but aside from that I can't find much. And "Everybody's Favorite Duck" is still out of print, which is a fucking crime.

Don't know much about the cartoon, but I definetly liked it. Will have to see if I can find more.
