I remember watching this with my parents.
Dame Diana Rigg was no slouch either when she hosted.
Pillager
She was the hotness.

I always wonder why they never had Gorey host the thing. Toward the end of his life he was running community theater just to amuse himself.

My mom is an English mystery fiend (both English and an English mystery fiend) and I watched every episode of this show with her throughout my childhood. I think Holmes was probably the best series, but Poirot was my favorite character when I was a kid.

Lurchi
Reilly, Ace of Spies. That series was amazingly great.

A dreadful old witch became jealous of Gorey's old school gothic talent and transformed him into Dr Demento. It was a terrible curse.

A flamingly gay Dr Demento

Class. Pure class.

My mom used to watch this show religiously. I remember this opening fondly from my childhood.
MrBuddy
Because of the animation I always expected Mystery to be a horror show.
