The Adventures of Pete & Pete is what Wes Anderson always tries to do in his movies, but fails anyway.
VoilaIntruder
While I do like most of Wes Anderson's movies, a typical episode of this show has all of the eccentricities and warmth of three of his films combined, and it doesn't have to try nearly as hard. Also, Polaris, Petunia, Stu, and enough quotes to keep even the nerdiest of nerds content.

Also, Artie!

have you actually seen a Wes Anderson movie?

The strongest man!

I never realized how piercingly insightful Big Pete's voice was. He's like the precocious kid philosopher in all of us.

Where are the other two parts? ... who am I kidding, even the first 8 minutes make for an incredibly twisted kids' show.

Hey Sandy~

I will never get tired of that fucking song. Ever. Thanks, Polaris.

For a while, this was the best written show on TV.

I don't know if that makes Pete and Pete really good, or the rest of 1990's TV really bad. Five stars anyway.
Longshot-
Five stars for one of the best kid's shows I ever watched. I just wish I understood it back then, like I do now.
HankFinch
I don't wish that.
I love catching things that I didn't get before.

Darwin H. Christ, how I miss this show.
