I stand by my use of like in that sentence. I meant it exactly as it's intended to be used. It's just as good as, "Not appalled as in disgusted."
I have the exact opposite of that feeling watching this video.

"When they tear down the house they'll be able to sell magazines on ebay" I'm pretty sure those aren't going to be worth much in june 2010. Also, why does an old man living in a shack have so many financial magazines?

We did some work a while ago and found a newspaper from when the house was built. I was kind of pleased with this, but it's gone now :(
