I was more of a "Danger Bay" fan, still awesome though.
A British couple once told me Beachcombers was the main thing they knew of Canadian culture.
Canadian TV had lots of game shows too, where you could win the grand prize of a toaster oven or .

If I was good, my parents would let me stay up late and watch this after Fraggle Rock and Disney. I usually fell asleep about halfway through.
PS: 'A Slice of Red Herring' was the episode where Relic tried to steal some logs from Nick so the Constable had to sort that out but then Jesse said something deep regarding his ancestors so they all went to Molly's Reach Cafe for pie and ended the episode with a smile.
