I like how much better the animation is for the movie, but it is still just horrible.
I never even saw this movie.

I was more of a GI Joe man, and nothing of note really ever happened with that.
Cobra Commander was turned into a snake for a period of time. Serpentor was a real hardass.

We went to see this for my birthday party (6th or 7th) and we showed up really late because my parents were fighting. The very first thing we saw was Optimus Prime dying

Between this and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, we have the potential beginning of a childhood trauma week.
The Autobots were incompetent boobs that chose to transform into cars and drive everywhere when they could fucking fly. Their opposition transformed into guns, jets, tape decks, cameras...you know...useful shit. Fuck Optimus Prime, truck driving idiot.

Megatron transformed into a giant pistol, I always thought that was pretty dumb. "Now all I need is a giant hand!"

A fine example of how these guys make much more sense as toys than as characters.

They forgot to touch on Prowl's rather mentally scarring and vivid death. Holy shit, man! At least Optimus just nodded off peacefully to the afterlife. Prowl melted from the inside out.
Validates my childhood assessment that Transformers was nothing but a 30 minute commercial that I never chose to sit through.
