Note that Bret Hart points out that Canadians don't hate black, brown, or yellow people, but he's pretty quiet on the issue of, uh, red people. WAY TO GO CANADA.

"Improvisational athletic theater," is my term for it. Check out "Steel Chair to the Head," edited by Nicholas Sammond. It's a collection of critical scholarly essays that investigate and define pro wrestling from anthropological and psychological perspectives. One of the writers used to be a wrestler and wrote an essay on how logic works in a match. It's a delightful read.
