His HBO (or was it Showtime) specials were awesome back in the 80s. Smashing water melons for the kids and sex jokes for the adults made everyone happy.

I know it's not cool to like Gallagher cause he smashes fruits. But the man puts on a good show and his comedy up to his fruit smashing portion is always pretty funny.

This just makes me feel more confident in my decision to like Gallagher.

Gallagher can really play a crowd, and its a nice counter to the uncomfortableness of the beginning to have the guy get schooled and then successfully utilize his training
