This movie is actually surprisingly friggin' boring.

I think less than 5 people out of an almost full theatre remained to see the end to this paragon of greatness. It could really use a re-cut.

This movie is absurd. It, like Wild Zero, is a fantastic movie to watch while something else is going on. Devoting your full attention to this movie is uncalled for and unrewarding. That said, it is interesting to see 40 iterations of "final showdowns" and the occasional "he appears in a classroom and everyone turns into zombies and he kills them all". I strongly recommend this movie, so long as it remains in the background rather than as a center piece of a gathering.

My mistake was seeing it at a film festival immediately after Fido, I think.

If I recall, he started killing the crew of the very movie he was staring in. Like fiction itself couldn't contain his vengeance. I thought that was neat, I guess.

Still, this was the same samurai duel rinsed and repeated about 50 times. If I weren't drunk when I saw it, I'm pretty sure I would have broke my foot on the screen.

CornOnTheCabre - 2009-10-19

i loved this movie, if only for the fact that I saw it in theaters, and other peoples' arbitrary rage at things amuses the everloving crap out of me.

If this is less boring than Tokyo Last Megalopolis, then I am down for seeing it.
